Default Help with 2014 LS460 Purchase

Hello ALL

I'm new to the forum. I've been lurking around the forum for some time now. I live in Japan and drive a 2006 GS350 that I love to death because of its reliability and looks. I paid 6K for it about 2 yrs ago when I first arrived here. Wish I could bring it back to the US but it's not 25 yrs old yet. Anyway I'll be moving back state side in a couple of months and I'm looking to continue my Lexus experience. I've been looking on Cars.com, Autotrader, and Cargurus to find a 2013 or 14 in my price range. The max I'm looking to spend is 35K. I found one car that fits the bill for me but it's located in Texas. I'll be living in FL. I know that I'm taking a chance purchasing a vehicle that I have never seen or driven. Can someone take a look and let me know what you think. (link) Seems like a good deal and the car looks to be in good condition. They are asking 40K but I will see if I can talk them down to 37.5. Does anyone think it's possible to talk them down being that the car is a 14 with low miles? I appreciate any advise you guys can give me. Thanks. Pics of my JP ride below. I think they started making this model in 2007 for the US.

Welcome to Club Lexus, and back to the US!

Anything is negotiable, definitely offer less. If you can pay $37.5K, start at $33K and bargain up.

Be careful of any cars from TX or FL .... Lot of flooded out cars that have "dried out" but still risky....

If you'll be in Florida, keep an eye on dealers in areas like Naples, where a lot of snowbirds and retirees live. I've seen a lot of low-mileage LS 460s for sale down there, mostly RWD, of course.

www.lexusofnaples.com

www.lexusoffortmyers.com

etc.

I plan to have a inspector go out and inspect the car before I buy. If the car was involved in a flood the inspection should catch that.

I will keep my eye on the Naples area, Thanks
