Default 2014 460L original warranty ending - what items to check?

Have a 2014 460L with CPO and now 41K miles. This is my first Lexus and have happily owned now for 8 months. Options are ML stereo, blind spot w/X traffic, all weather Pkg., LED package, Htd. steering wheel, & semi-anniline leather.

Are there specific items to check before going out of original warranty?

It sounds loud at idle and I have read the threads here about the fuel pump "normal" diesel sound.

A few months ago Lexus installed new trim piece (back passenger side roof to trunk trim piece along rear windshield) free of charge – GREAT!. New Battery installed via CPO checklist when I bought. Have 3 more "free" scheduled maint. services (45K,50K & 55K).

Previous BMW (and heavy CPO user) Owner where then easier and better to have items addressed by Dealer before original warranty ended – even with BMW CPO?

Thank you!

Since you have the CPO warranty theres really no concern. I would check the control arms, and I would have any "cosmetic" issues looked at, rattles, etc.

I would add engine mounts and wheel bearings to above list based on my experience. If you normally frequent to one dealership, have them check everything and fix accordingly as they love to work on warrantied cars ..

This is a good topic. I'm considering purchasing an 2014 - 2017 and would also like to know what to look out for. I thought the control arms were only an issue on the 2007 - 2011's Do the 2014 - 2017 models have the same problems or have they been upgraded?

Funny thing, I picked up a certified 2013 LWB AWD last week. I just noticed today the trim piece in the rear passenger side between the roof and rear window and trunk has come out a few inches. Looks like there is a speaker in there. Is this what happened with your trim piece or did the dealer just proactively replace it before this happened to you?

Yes, my trim piece was an external body piece. At my first CPO scheduled maint. I mentioned it. Dealer ordered and installed (in correct car color) a new one. It was loose and I noticed from washing/detailing it.
