Default Sepentine Belt Squeal

After only 6 months with a new Dayco belt, I had a very loud unbearable squeal at start up with temps around 35-40 degrees in my garage. I ran the car thru a car wash prior and it sat in the garage for 2 day The pulleys all seem fine, turning freely. The tension is still strong on for the belt tensioner. The squeal did not go away after idling for 10 minutes and driving to the parts store for another Dayco belt (only one local)

The squeal went away completely with the new belt. Is it normal for LS460 to go thru belts this fast or Dayco belts garbage? Anyone with similar experience?

Thanks

Seems strange, haven't heard of any serpentine belt issues with these cars, but wasn't there a tensioner recall in the early models? But yours feels fine, right? But no these cars don't go through belts quickly. I'd keep an eye on it.

It seems that Dayco belts are notorious for squeaking. Not sure why. Stick with Gates.
