Default Found the cause of exhaust annoying sound - can't figure out the part

So below 60 km on my car I started noticing a very annoying buzzing sound like those fart cannon youngster install on their civic. After wiggling with the metal insulator just over the driver site muffler sound was better but still there. Removed the wheel to get a better view and there is actually some kind of screw that is not connected anymore. After further inspection it seems that its actually the metal insulator who rusted out and disconnected from the bolt. I'm not sure that the fix is to put a new bolt nut, I don't think it would prevent from the insulator to pop out. If you look at this video you'll understand:

On this diagram http://jp-carparts.com/lexus/partlis...ype=5&fig=5802

58328D seems to be the insulator, but the nut (90179-06226) don't seems to be located at the same spot. My guess is that the insulator got degraded at this spot and don't fit snug enough and a new one would fit tight on that bolt without moving. Unless there is a better solution I plan on putting some black silicone on there to prevent the insulator from popping out.

Maybe a little cleanup with a wire brush and get a wide washer(thinking a larger one) and a nut... It should be able to lock it down... Sounds like it can be annoying...

Might be hard as it looks like a tight space.

Those heat shields are useless. I removed mine years ago when I replaced my mufflers. I too had an occasional buzz at certain frequencies. No more.

And when you are under the car install some Oliver Enterprises exhaust vents along with the B.O.W!

This is a systemic Toyota issue, my Prius also has it. Toyota needs to change their heat shield fastening design to prevent fatigue around the too-small attachment points.

Ahhhh, yes. Missed that. I wonder what a 600hL "big bore" 5.0L sounds like with double stack Exhaust Vents?
