Analog clock fast
I love the analog clock in my 2013 LS 460 F-Sport. The only problem is that the clock started going faster to the tune of gaining about 1-1/2 hours per day. I have adjusted it several times without any success. The dealer wants to replace it for about $600.00. Can this be fixed or replacing it is the only solution?

This is an unusual problem. Did this problem coincide with any electrical work done on the car? The question is whether the problem is with the clock itself or with any signals being sent to the clock by the car's electronics; I suspect it is the former. You could try replacing the clock yourself with a unit available on eBay (see link). It is less than $150. It's hard to tell how difficult it would be to remove the dash trim and gain access to the screws. If I had to guess, I would say it won't be too difficult. There are four mounting screws for the clock and a simple connector to the car. If you are not mechanically inclined, take the car to an indy shop with the replacement clock and have them install it. It would be far cheaper than the dealer. Good luck!
