Congrats on a beautiful car. The extended warranty has been extensively debated on here several times. I personally extended the warranty on my 2011 LS460L and mine doesn't even have air suspension. It has already paid for itself with two issues I had. If I had an 2008 with air suspension depending on the coverage time and mileage I would probably get it. Wont take much work to the air suspension to pay for the warranty. They are reliable cars but not cheap to fix if you go to the dealer.

re: Seat cooling
Yes, there is a fan, and there are filters (I merely removed mine and rinsed them, which I'll do again in 5-7 years), but there is also a thermoelectric device which actually chills the leather.
If you'll notice, when it's been on for a while, areas which do not have the tiny holes are also cold. Check out the lower bolsters after five minutes with the control turned to 100% cold..
Also, the heating/cooling of the seats and steering wheel heat are 100% independent of the HVAC system and its settings.
My last car had merely fans, and there's a noticeable difference in airflow, noise, and comfort. The fan + thermoelectric cooling is less forceful, much quieter, and cooler over time. There's slightly less of an immediate effect because the fans move less air, but after just a few minutes, the LS 460's seat's thermoelectrics slam dunk fans alone. It's smart.
The fan cooled seats on my 2005 Cadillac STS, the final generation, had seat fans so strong, I could feel air blowing on my neck, whereas in the LS, it's a challenge to feel the fan (even when not in the car and assessing whether said fan is working), but this is good. Less fan = more quiet The thermoelectric coolers make -0- noise.
It's ingenious, honestly.
