Default Black rubber thumb button on door handle

I just purchased an 07. It is missing the black rubber cover on the driver door handle. Smart key functions fine. Does anyone know what this part is and how to replace?

I saw that but couldn't figure out the exact part without replacing the whole door handle.

I don't know for sure but, I would not be shocked if you had to buy a whole handle as it's a small part.

You could always go on ebay, find a someone who is parting out a LS460 and send them an email about it, it's what I do when I need a odd ball part like that.

Sadly, I believe you do have to replace the entire handle.

You probably have to hunt around find a rubber oval button off of something like old electronics. Example my copy machine (still in use) has black oval buttons which I could use in your situation. Then glue it on with a dab of silicone gel.

This is just one example of what you can get (there's tons of them on Ebay): https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-LS460...VZxq-w&vxp=mtr

I wouldn't waste my time with a wrecker when you can get it delivered all in, for less than 50 bucks.

Looks good but I need Drivers side. Found one of about $80 so far. Can get these rubber replacement pieces for Mercedes but apparently not Lexus.

The rubber button shouldn’t be side specific so the one posted above would be fine.

Yes, but the button inside the door handle appears to be gone too. I think I will hold out for a driver's door handle and just replace it. It fuctions fine, except for you can't push it to lock all the doors when you want to. I just use the rear passenger button.

Picked up a used rear door handle on Ebay. The black rubber cover essentially pulls out. It was tricky getting it to sit right, but some fiddling it worked. Good news was that the push to lock function still works, I thought originally i would need a new handle. Still a shame i had to spend $40 for 10 cents worth of rubber.

It is a shame. I would have looked around for a rubber piece that is the same shape. Maybe you can resell it and get a buyer who can just swap the button off their old handle.

Don't feel bad....that "10 cents worth of rubber" would have cost you FIFTY dollars at the dealer if available.

I found it here,

HANDLE ASSEMBLY, FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE, LEFT; HANDLE ASSEMBLY, REAR DOOR OUTSIDE, LEFT

Part Number: 6922033060
This fits your 2011 LEXUS ES350HANDLE ASSY, FR DOOR; CHROME PLATED

HANDLE ASSY, FR DOOR

Any better idea?
