Default Please help, how to fix oil leak in 2008 LS460?

Recently noticed oil leaking from my 08 LS460. Looked under the car and looks like i need to replace the oil pan/gasket. Can someone help me find the parts needed to replace it? do i need a new gasket also or oil pan sealant? Is it a fairly easy job?

Thanks guys!

Personally I'd look higher up to make sure it's not something else traveling down appearing to be the oil pan gasket. Something like valve cover gaskets, or high pressure fuel pump gaskets make more sense. For your sake I hope it's not the pan, it looks like it's buried under there.

We checked higher up and it seems okay no signs of oil, the pan didnt seem out of reach or anything? Looks like its fairly easy to remove i think

Depends if it's the upper pan gasket or lower pan gasket. Pray that it's the lower, cuz that's about a 3 hr job, whereas the upper is a 22.5 hr job (yikes). Parts are cheap - about 22 bucks for the gasket.

Hmmmm...well, upon further investigation I think there's no actual gasket. Looks like they use a sealant (made by Aisin), as seen here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Engine-Oil-...NZNO9c&vxp=mtr

If it were me, I'd try a bottle of stop leak and go from there.

No problem. You have nothing to lose by trying.....a few bucks for stop leak at your local Walmart.
