Default No audio after startup

GM everyone, I'm having an issue where when I first start the car the is no audio from ANY of the sources. After a couple of minutes the audio kicks in. I've read lots of the stuff on the ML amp issue so I'm kind of well versed in that respect. I just want your opinions on what could be the issue and is the a sign of imminent amp failure? I would like to note that this first started after it rained if that means anything, I read a couple of threads where ppl complained of this issue when damp outside. My low beams were flickering around the same time so I ordered some new bulbs that should be here tomorrow. Other than that the car performs great. Anyway suggestions are welcome.

make sure the amp is not flooded in the trunk. Did your car have any body work done in the trunk area? There were few cases where water intrusion happened after body work and floods the e-brake and amp modules.

I will check the trunk area around the amo to make sure no water is getting in there. This was an issue in the 400 forum when the trunk seal was worn. One thing to note is that I installed a Grom type adapter called Yatour so I could have usb support for music. I'm in the process of pulling the radio back out to make sure the connections are tight.

I would also consider pulling the Grom out and see if solves the problem. Good luck!

Default Who would place this by amp fans

I think I might have found the culprit. My question is why would anyone place this what seems like cotton in front of the fans? I suspect a tech at the dealership since this vehicle is a 1 owner and serviced exclusively at the Lexus dealer I purchased the car from.

Probably and amateur attempt to locate and prevent a rattle. There's no way it could have got in there on it's own!

LOL. Never ceases to amaze me the stuff you come across. Hopefully there's no permanent heat damage done to the amp.

you might need to vacuum this stuff out of the fan vent.
