Default Aaaargh! Scrstched my bumper last night!

Dammit I am so pissed at myself but I'll leave the self flagellation for offline. Scraped my front right bumper along a low brick wall last night...so low the sensors never saw it, either. The bumper has scrapes down to the white in a couple places but is not dented.
Couple questions:

1. Has anyone ever fixed this on their own? What did you use?

2. If I need to go pro...is this a big deal to repair?

Thanks,

Brian

If it's not too noticeable (bottom half of bumper), you could use touch-up paint. Otherwise, about $500-$600 at a bodyshop to repaint the bumper cover. Matching the paint on a metallic is the hardest part.

Wife scraped her front bumper but underneath when she parked over one of those concrete stops that was sitting up a lot higher than normal. $450 to get the whole bumper repainted with most of it labor since they whole thing has to be taken apart to do it correctly. It was painted twice since the Nebula Gray Pearl is a hard match... Results were great, though... That was over a year ago......

To the OP: If you are handy with touch up paint, and depending upon your paint color, you could DIY. Otherwise, you should have it done professionally. At least get a couple of estimates and a professional opinion before deciding what to do.

I scratched my bumper underneath by the passenger fog light pulling into an end spot. The scratches are not visible from the front or side, so I haven't bothered fixing them. Besides, my bumper is wrapped, so I don't think there is much damage. Nowadays, I always remember to put my suspension in High before pulling into any spot.

I have had to have bumpers repaired a couple of times and have used what I believe is a franchised guy for a national company. Try www.touchuppro.com - I think they show local operators. I have the repair done right in my driveway for $225 and the results have been excellent. I found the guy by checking who was doing the work at the local dealers. Since that time the service department has been ordered to only refer their own shop which charges $600+. I have used other touch up guys in the past with good results as well. If you know a paintless dent repair person he could probably also give you a referral. I'm assuming your bumper just has surface damage even if fairly deep but no tears or holes.
