Dibs on the wheels and side mirrors...... oh it's not totaled

Hope you get better soon. You will be back in your LS460 in no time soon. You'll appreciate her even more when you get her back. Make sure you nitpicks on every little thing that needs to be done.

Thanks all. So as it turns out, the two Lexus dealers in Vancouver no longer have body shops. So, looks like a local collision center. The one I'm considering has 5 stars and also guarantees their work for as long as you own your car. Waiting for a claims adjuster to call today regarding my injuries. I've been pretty sore and missed work.

As for inheriting my wheels and side view mirrors.....over my dead body.....my injuries aren't THAT bad!

Chris, sore enough to miss work? That sounds serious. Best wishes for a quick recovery. When you are well enough to move around, please post a couple of pics of the damage to the car. If the damage is really as slight as you said it is, that is a testament to the quality and crashworthiness of the LS.

i had the exact same thing happened to me last year, when i got the car back from the body shop/ i wast happy the bumper wasn't aligned properly. i took the whole thing out and realized they skimmed on a plastic part that goes on the metal bar/ ordered it from a lexus dealer and aligned it myself; everything is perfect now.

So now comes my selection of a body shop. I'm leaning towards a Lexus dealer. The nearest being about an hour away. Bonus is I can get my fuel gasket recall done and hopefully, a decent courtesy vehicle.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but especially about you being hurt. Definitely get evaluated, stuff flike that can stick with you for the rest of your life.

Dont worry about a shop being affiliated with Lexus. Just pick the best shop overall you can find

All too common with "modern distractions" now a days.... Wife got hit in her 460 twice this year (rear ended both times when she was stopped) and she is still doing physical therapy from the first accident.

Do go to the doctor; can be a long recovery with long term implications. Cars can be fixed or replaced...

Saw the doc yesterday. Was prescribed some muscle relaxants and pain meds. He said I was experiencing "normal" symptoms of whiplash and to see how it goes for the next week or so and then if needed, physiotherapy. Said I could go back to work. My only concern is responding to emergencies and backing up my partners in an incident, but he assured me that adrenaline would over-ride any pain, lol.

Now waiting on insurance adjuster to get back to me.

Hi Chris, thanks for the update. Hope you get better with meds alone and can avoid physiotherapy. This seems more than just a gentle bump; how fast do you estimate she was going? And do share a couple of pics (of the car) 😬😬. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about the accident and wish you a speedy recovery. Did the Dr's office take any X-rays?.

Hope u are not too hurt, a couple years ago I was rear ended in my 2nd gen gs, the car only was hit with 1700 in repairs but my neck is still not fully healed from that accident. If I ever had to do it again, I'd do it all thru a lawyer, dealing with icbc myself was stress I didn't need

I hope the adjuster doesn't declared your car totaled. As the vehicle gets older, it's not worth to the ins. to repair them.
I have 2000 E39 and 2008 LS460 also that I'm concern about this.
Meds is your friend. Hope you feel better soon.
