2013 600h 34k miles - $51k
While browsering, an ad poped in for this car. Out of curiosity, checked the link. It is from Carmax.
Loaded with LKA and radar cruise. I believe it's a good price for 600h.

Yes, it's fully loaded, looks great, and the price is reasonable. Only pause for concern is the new car warranty expired in April 2017. So it is not eligible for Lexus Platinum VSA.

That car has been for sale at that CarMax for a LONG time. I had considered it way back in the Spring. It does appear to be a great value for an LS600hL, but it must not show as well in person as in the photos, because no one has jumped on it. I also think the bamboo wood looks best against the black interior, but I'm a fan of the flaxen leather in general...

I agree color does make the car. The interior should have been black. I would pass!

It often does not matter what the car cost originally, especially a relatively common Lexus sedan, 50K is a lot of money for a used car which is why luxury cars depreciate so much, most used car buyers do not want to spend anywhere near that kind of money on a used car especially a complicated hybrid about to run out of warranty. They would have to find the very rare buyer who really wants a used LS hybrid and is willing to spend 50K even with it having 34K miles and about to run out of warranty. I doubt it is going to generate much interest until it is priced under 45K.

Trade-in price for this vehicle (excellent condition) is ~50K according to NADA. Bad color combo notwithstanding, it would be a steal if it was sold at 45K. Maybe it can be re-upholstered in black leather for a couple of grand

If you look at the pics the front bumper doesn't match at all, like not even close. My guess is the car is beat in person.
I don't care for the bamboo trim in general...and for some reason when I had the Flaxen in my GS I loved it, but it just doesn't do it for me in the LS.

Mmmm, the front bumper is definitely darker. Could it be just the light and shadows? Autocheck is good. Probably CarFax too. On the other hand, it seemed odd that the front of the car would be photographed in such deep shadows. All the more reason for a steep discount, maybe to 40K. I am sure there will be plenty of takers

No, the off match is visible from several different angles

Yea, at first glance I didn't notice but, after you said something, OMG. I also agree with others about Bamboo and black but, that would be for sure skip.
I'm sure a lot of people looked at it and noticed that, then walked away. If it was a $5K car, it's a minor thing but, when it's a $50K car, it's a different story.. at least in my book.
Don't always trust a Car Fax, I speak from personal experience. My first LS400 was tagged in the back by speeder. $2600 in damage (back corner and bumper). After he hit me, he swung to not do more damage, flew off the road, smashed through a sign before he stopped. He was arrested on site. The insurance adjuster came out, with a copy of the police report and a check was written, the car was repaired. I did pick up a copy of the police report for my records, it did have my VIN and damage listed on my car.
Well I held on the car for another 5 years... before I sold it, I ran a car fax... that there was no mention of it at all.
They are good for a general reference but, they should always be inspected.
