Default 20' Aftermarket wheels

Hello everyone this is my first post here!! I love my LS 460 to death!! But I do have a question and hopefully someone can help me out. I had the factory tires and rims on the car which was 18's. I wanted to get some aftermarket rims and I did. Well I went and bought some 20's to go on my ride. The problem I have is that it shakes or vibrates a lot after 60. The tires are brand new and so are the rims. Yes the bore size of the rims was bigger so I had to buy some hub centric rings for the rims. But I am still getting this shake or vibration. Had them balanced 3 times already still no help. rotated the tires around to try and find a medium somewhere to no avail. The rims don't look bent and the tires don't look out of round. Does anyone have any ideas they could suggest because I am out of them.

Did you have a vibration before you installed the new wheels?

Check wheel bearings , control arm bushings and make sure the hub of the rim is flush and make sure your ring is the correct one

Thank you for responding and no it did not shake or vibrate at all before the change. They are the correct hub rings. I will check the other things that was noted.

Here's what I would do: put the original wheels back on and see if the vibration goes away. If it does then your answer is the new wheels and/or tires are causing it.

LR3vsLS I have done that and that was my thinking as well but why would it shake or vibrate when the new tires or rims are put on? Unless its the tires and can't see it. And the same with the rims.

if you had a minor shake or minor vibration before , the new wheels would exaggerate the vibration and you would notice it more

Or its possible the aftermarket wheels are the cause

Ill be honest with you , I ride on aftermarket wheels a lot and I commonly have some sort of issue with them, either bending, cracking, or vibrating ..... this is why a lot of people just stick to the oem wheels

If it was me, id go back to oem wheels to see if virbration is gone, if it is then you know its new wheels, and if you cant visually see any bends or issues with wheels id just sell them because they might have been machined wrong or something

Installed name brand rims/tires? Properly balanced? IMO, whoever installed them should take care of the problem.

tire shop/manufacturer would just blame the car

Car dealer would then blame the tire shop/manufacturer , it will go nowhere

Pretty much why LS's should only wear aftermarket wheels made in Japan.

OP- are you running correct lugs

make sure you are getting these wheels road force balanced and i would take it back and tell the installer that it is shaking pretty bad most of the time if it is a reputable shop they will recheck the balancing.. shouldnt be a big deal..

Well first off I put the oem tires back on and I haven't had the first bit of vibration!!! So it's the tires or the rims. I took the rims to a rim shop and they said they were fine. They told me to take the rims and tires to another shop and have them true the tires. Going to put them up today!! Will let you know how things go.
