I've only seen a couple of G80s and I don't really like those. They look small on the outside compared to my LS. I have seen 1 G90 . What draws me to the LS is the KNOWN reliability and it looks so huge like a body builder whose muscles are all proportionate if you know what I mean. I saw a Genesis coupe and it looked nice. All that being said I love a great deal which is what drove me to purchase my original 91 LS. I think it's great that the Genesis offers all the things standard that you have to pay extra for in an LS.

Yeah, it seems likely that the 2017 G90s will be an amazing bargain on the used car market in 3 years, based on what I see on the Equus market. Although Genesis does seem a bit more committed now to establishing the Brand and building additional cars to flesh out the Genesis lineup, so it's conceivable that in 3 years Genesis will be starting to gain traction in the luxury community. I would think a 3-year old G90 with low miles (<20K) will probably be selling for around $30-35K. My lease buyout option is for $32K, and I will likely have around 20-25K miles on mine in 3 years. That 5 year/60K standard warranty and 10 yr/100k powertrain warranty is a pretty sweet deal for a luxury car of this complexity, so I may buy mine outright at the end. We'll see how it ages over the next 3 years...

Would it surprise you to know that the G80 is almost exactly the same size as your LS400? It’s 1/2 inch shorter.

No it would not surprise me at all bit the LS is 20 years old and I considered it big and stately for it's time. When I look at the 400 and MY 460L side by side it surprises a little how much the 460 dwarfs the 400 IMO. I used to love driving the 400 now I have to manufacture a reason to even get in the car. Yeah I know I'm late to the game but I'm here nonetheless.

Congratulations, riknchar. Great to read your impressions and experience with the G90. The interior is impressive, as is the long list of standard features. I am intrigued that it performs so much like an LS. I am not as impressed by the exterior but the color combo definitely is nice. Wishing you many trouble-free miles during the lease period....well, maybe not completely trouble-free just to test out Hyundai's commitment to customer service.

Oh yeah, a 460L is almost 10 inches longer than an LS400.

Approaching 25K miles (since June 11th) with my 2017 G90.
In comparison, my 2017 Continental has only travelled 31K miles in 11 months.

The G90 has been flawless.

Hi L8RSk8R. Can you comment on the G90 Driver's seat comfort and especially the driving position and pedal position?
Is it comfortable and is there adequate room and seat movement range?
Thank you very much for any insight and good luck.
(I sat in the Equus a few times and found it very roomy and comfortable with a good driving position, but I have not tried the G90 and wondered if it was just as good.)

I don't do much driving in the G90. If I'm in it, I'm riding in the back seat
I have drivers that work for me and they all love the G90's seating.
They range from 5' 6" to 6' 4" and 140lbs to 240lbs.

No complaints from anyone yet.

I just picked up another 2014 Equus, with 29K miles. I could have purchased a new Continental, but the Equus is a better vehicle for my business. I will never buy another Continental in it's current form. My '71 pictured above. I have loved Lincolns for a long time Found the 71 on eBay about a year ago, had to get it.

I really like the new Genesis, recently I was talking to a Audi factory rep and he mentioned the car and how it kind of looks Audish in the front. Kind of agree and that's a good thing. He also told me Audi has improved a great deal in reliability recently, which I laughed at. But imagine if that said true? They're pretty nice looking cars. But the Genesis has been pretty reliable over the years, in fact the whole company has come a long way. Don't get me wrong, they still have cheap plastics and stuff that wears out way before it should but mechanically they're pretty solid. Meanwhile I was just on an Audi site and one guy listed the over 20k in repairs he's made out of warranty to his A6...things like timing chain, tensioners, torque converter, intake manifold, fuel rail, air bag, coils, fuel pump, every gasket you can think of, more coils, control arms, on and on. Didn't even count the $15k he did in regular maintenance. The worst part is he said he over maintained the car to prevent anything from happening to it, yet it still happened. That was what he was most disappointed in. Others were saying that they personally put $1,500-$2,000 a year away for a repair slush fund. Imagine that?
