Geez. Nope unless your dealer will cover it. My dash was covered. Tint the windows it helps the door panels.

Good luck.

Go to dealer see if they will replace them for free. If not, call Lexus corporate and file a complaint. I have a 2010 and Lexus replaced all 4 panels for free.

Lexus has a warranty enhancement for sticky door panels and dashboards in the 07 LS460. Unfortunately, they appear pretty arbitrary as to who they will honor this with.

Thumbs down Sticky door panels

My LS460 is a 08 manufactured late 07, I have the same sticky door panel problems. Dealt with Lexus,
unpleasant female case manager turned me down, zero interest in rectifying a known manufacturing defect.

Very disappointing.

This has been my experience dealing with the case managers but when you ask them to speak to a supervisor or escalate the problem, they refuse that too. I wish Lexus had kept their "Customer Service" forum on this site. I guess there was a reason they bailed on that!

Anyone have a video of removing the glove box on a 2007 LS 460?

I just picked up an 07 460L few months ago, went to my local Lexus dealer & asked the service guy if the dash & door panels have been replaced.
The guy said the dash was replaced once before, but the door panels have not.
Had the guy order front door panels only, he said it would take "up to 6 months"
Its not a "warranty' fix, according to the service guy, they only fix it if the customer complains about it.

I'm begining to think there may be two classes of customer service at Lexus - east coast and west coast! Yes, I know that the "customer service reps" are all located in Torrance, CA, but california owners seem to have a totally different experience that I've read from east coast owners on this forum!

Talking

I was turned down the first time because my SA had no idea what I was talking about...
now that summer is here my door panel arm area was getting sticky again.. I drove straight to the dealership and another SA assisted me and ordered 4 panels. If your arm area is really dirty compared to your other cars, the material is probably "absorbing" the dirt.

PARK YOUR CAR IN THE SUN FOR 2 hours. Let it bake while you are watching Despicable Me 3. Take a video or pictures.

the black part was discoloring a little but not sticky. The arm area was veryyyy sticky and melting..

my car is garage kept and only around 80k

Nice. Looks like yours does not have the leather arm rest. The only part of mine that will do that is the top area the darker part.

Are the door panels the same for the 07 thru later models?

Yep. The non-leather armrests are the same 2007-2012. Unless they started using a different vinyl material, i guess they will all do this at some point

It won't be the same material. I had all 4 of mine replaced and haven't had an issue since.

I noticed this summer my dash after a sunny hot day had a small shine to it. It was replaced in March. I believe someone on this site mentioned a Lexus tech told him it will do it again just after a few years. After all the sticky didn't just happen over night when these cars were new.
