MY08 interior is not bad at all and Lexus Austin is ordering all my interior parts and was told that total cost is $10K

Good to see they're taking care of you tofu

Talking to the girl at the service counter it sounded like Lexus Austin is under new mgmt as of a month ago, hopefully they keep the level of service up.

Any idea how long parts take from Japan? Apparently, my dealer has half the parts as they were already in the states but the remaining half I was told has to be made and shipped from Japan which I can imagine would be some time. Already have waited about a month.

And if I am unsatisfied with the results then I can call Lexus and get a case manager potentially.

Also since working in the business at my local Toyota dealer, I called my parts buddy at Lexus and asked him about it and he said that yes, they can take quite a bit of time to come in. So be in for the Long haul on the parts and waiting. Atleast it isn't like the Tacoma frames where Toyota was paying for 6-12month rentals.

Yeah. Those look like it was a common quick repaint that an independent dealer does to an interior trim that has discoloration. It's a vinyl paint that they use to refresh an old looking leather or plastic surface.
While it looks nice while it is on display, it does come apart and start to crack, stain, flake, etc after a while.
Only real solution is to take the car to an upholstery shop and repair that section of the seats and such with new leather, and for any plastics, to use a new part.

Dealer just replaced my drivers door panel. $1673 part.

Need the passenger now to match now now that I see what it’s supposed to be like

will have them submit it next time in.

spent a lot of money there at $200 an hour.

Is there a big difference between driver and passenger now that you've had driver replaced? This is what I'm worried about when they told me they were only swapping driver side.

According to McGrath Lexus in Westmont, the replacement program ended in June 2017. My dashboard cracked in June 2018! I noticed it the day after I picked up my RX at the dealership for work done and a supposed great detail. The detail was terrible! My floor mats hadn't even been washed! This is my 3rd Lexus. The quality of service is declining. What makes me mad is that when, now if, I turn in my RX for a newer one, I will a take a hit on the trade-in value because of the dashboard issue that wasn't my fault to begin with. Has anyone been able to talk their dealer into replacing the dash even though the program ended??

Can't speak to the RX, this is the LS forum but the program for the dash replacement has not ended for the LS, its been expanded.

According to my Service Manager, Lexus wasn't planning on doing anything other than 07's. But they got sued by an angry Lexus attorney (I believe is correct), and at first decided to not do anymore at all. Then they went after the outfit who supplied all the interior parts and are supposedly suing them for damages. Now they're repairing all 07-09's. Not sure about 10-12. That's my story and I'm sorta sticking to it.

My dealer said to wait till summer. Did not look bad now. But he only pointed out this on side. I said had not seen this before. Looks like the gray is peeling off. Kinda like it was just painted on. Anyone else??

Drivers side vent.

Default Is there a cost to get this checked on my 2007 LS460...

The customer service rep at Lexus took my VIN and it popped up. I made an appointment but she didn’t say if this check was free of charge or not.
