Soo comfortable and fast. If anybody had a chance to open these cars up will understand
the land jet reference. Please be safe and know the performance rating of your tires.
That's a mighty long road trip! How long did it take to circle the Earth 120 times?

Seriously, I know what you mean. I'd rather spend the extra gas on a road trip with the LS than a more fuel efficient car with likely an inferior ride and comfort.

I too just got back from that 350 mile each way trip to southern WV. Car rode like a dream. I don't often get to drive it on trips because of the kids we take the van, but this was just me. Car will waft along at 80-85 all day long and not break a sweat, mountain roads with 7% grades, doesn't even have to downshift until the very top. Curvey highways, 60 MPH recommended curve speed, cruise left on 80, no issues. Also drove my other LSs on that trip many times and they too rode wonderfully, but you had to slow down in those corners. There's one part of the trip where you can get off the highway and drive over the mountain on old rte 60, I dont do that every time but did this trip to drive through the old towns of Rupert and Rainelle to see how they were faring after the big floods last year (not well), the LS is a little bit of a handful on those maintain roads lol. My GS was way better suited to that. The LS400 and LS430 were total pigs on that road, 460 was better but still out of its element. In the GS I would go that way because they are great driving roads. In my old LSs, ESs or the Jeeps I usually just stay on the highway, in the 460 I probably will too lol. Plus if I have my wife and kids with me that road makes them carsick.

350 miles on 2/3rds of a tank. Cruise set at 80, never stopped for 5 hours. Not a twinge of soreness or tiredness. Driving along with the music playing, it really is like driving a hovercraft lol. You could easily drive the whole ~500 miles highway range and never need to stop until it gets low on gas. Heavy rain half the way down there, wipers had no problem keeping up, very comfortable maintaining 80 even in heavy driving rain. Incredible automobile.

Driving around down there also, 3 of us in total comfort, back country roads, gravel roads, you name it. Also one of the things I love about the LS, in towns where it cost substantially more than many homes you never feel conspicuous or out of place, which I would have in an S Class or 7 Series.

Only downside of the trip was the car was incredibly filthy when I got back, all cleaned up now though!
