Mark LEVINSON "value" edition system
Does the 2011 ls460 have a ML system that I can burn music cds onto like my 2007 ls460? Also, are there 2 different options of the ML systems, one with 10 speakers and another with 19 speakers? I am looking to get a used 2011 model and some say it has the ML value edition with 10 speakers and some say it has 19 speakers. My 2007 460 has 19 and can record a ton of cds.

Thanks, Chris. Do all ML systems have the ability to burn music cds onto the hard drive? My 2007 460 does but I have heard some ML systems in the 2011 460 do not have that feature but only the 6 cds being able to be loaded into the dash at a time.

On Edit... it would appear that 09 was the last year with a recordable hard drive.

True and I guess Lexus did away with the ability to burn CD onto the hard drive due to USB connectivity.

You can rip your CDs to a Sandisk Ultra Fit USB drive (or any USB drive, but they are the smallest) and then plug it into the USB socket in your center console.
There are two audio systems in the LS460 - the base system ("Lexus Premium Audio" with 10 speakers) and the ML system with 19 speakers.

As stated above, the ability to rip CDs to ML hard drive was taken away with the introduction of Bluetooth Audio in MY2010.
As for the Value Edition, FWIW, that was terminology Lexus used circa 2009/10 on some vehicles, and all it meant was ML as a no-charge option. We were shopping for our 2010 LX at the time, and 2010s built in 2009 had this "Luxury Value Edition" option which was a zero-cost ML system.
