This is one of those things which bothers very likely an almost immeasurably-small percentage of the population, and it has nothing to do with OCD, ADHD, or anything else like that.

I am one of those people. I abhor wasted space in an instrument cluster.

In the HVAC controls...which every single LS460 had when it left the factory...there is an* display for the outside temp. Nice that it's in the HVAC controls so it's not taking up space, elsewhere, as if you're looking at outside temps, you're likely going to be in them, soon.

But wait...there's another temperature readout in the instrument cluster...must be for something else. Engine temp/oil temp/trans temp?

Nope.

So much more could have been done with the real estate a dupe readout for ambient temperature occupies in the already limited LCD readout space!!!

While I wish there were a way to change this, it'd have to be electronic in nature, 'cause I'm not taking this dashboard apart until the day it won't start unless I do.
