Talking New Wheels and Tires 19" Touring Package

Thought I would share, I'm super stoke with the new set up. It took a little while to track down 19" Touring package wheels. I definetly lucked out. First off they're expensive brand new and almost impossible to find used, I see why people just buy aftermarket wheels and plus I did't want them in chrome. Went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S +3s very happy with them, nice and grippy especially when it rains here in Hawaii.

Old: 18x7.5 235/50/18 Toyo Proxes

New: 19x8 245/45/19 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+

Huge upgrade! Love seeing the side by side comparison- looks like a totally different car. I shopped for a while before buying my 2010 460L a few months back and the 19" 5 star wheels were the #1 priority for me. I wouldn't have bought one without them- the "stance" of the car is so dramatically different, especially when the car is in motion. Looks awesome! Congrats.

PS- what year is your car? Looks like '07-'09?? You see more '10-'12 with those wheels, pretty rare for an '07-'09 to have those so your car would definitely stand out if it's 07-09.

I would LOVE to have those wheels for my 2008. Brings out the look like AMG five spoke wheels for the Mercedes S Class.
The dealer just put a new set of 18" Dunlops tires when I bought the car and I have future maintenance repairs I need to do like the shocks I want to do. Plus home upgrades I am in the middle of, 2nd child on the way and family trips. Just not in my budget

It's a 2008, it's in his signature.

its an 08', yeah definitely changes the appearance of the car. I actually had these wheels on my LS460L touring before my wife got side swiped in an intersection ... but it was in chrome and beat up/pitted. Looks much better in silver.

Yeah, I had to get approval from the wife before getting them but I'm sure all in time there will be a set waiting for you.

I also have the same 19" wheels. If you don't mine me asking what is it costing you to have them refinished?

I'd be interested to know if you noted any degradation in ride quality going from the 18s to the 19s...

They look awesome by the way

Ride quality is pretty much the same. On the freeway still smooth as butter and on regular road ways I do feel a little bit more feed back from the road. IMO I do feel there is a difference in turning. It feels a lot more top heavy(like I'm turning a boat). I don't know if its because the new wheel setup is slightly bigger and less tire but I didn't have the same response with the 18s. You can def feel the need for bigger sway bars for these cars. but I appreciate it!
