LS460 won't start after new battery

Hey guys I need help,
My 2007 LS460 had a dead battery this cold morning, it tried to crank the engine but after 3-4 attempts the starter did not engage anymore and all went silent. it had been four years since I replaced the original battery with an Auto Zone battery. I tried to jump start the car but no success at all. Took the battery to Auto Zone and after a three hour load, I was told it was bad and ended up getting a new one (pro-rated price), I installed it and the engine won't start. I have power (lights, horn, power windows, fan, panel lights) no error message on screen, other than low tire pressure, the remote (with new battery) won't lock nor unlock the doors, no sound whatsoever of starter getting engaged when power button is pushed, even after 15 seconds as per owners manual. I got ground disconnected to save battery charge. Any ideas? How do I get to the fuse boxes? Where are they located? Do I have to reprogram the remotes? Is this a dead starter?

Without more information it is difficult to give you much advice.

The only thing I can think of to tell you, based on the information that you have provided, is don't forget to hold the brake pedal depressed while you are trying to start your car.

try closing an locking all doors,trunk,hood... arm the oem alarm.. (keeping all fobs at least 15 ft from the car) then wait 30secs.. unlock the car get in an attempt the start again.. once running leave running for 5 mins for the cpu to reset.

Excellent advice plus......... And the car in PARK. Take the shifter out of park and put it back in park..... then try restarting while your foot is on the brake.

Shibumi's advice is what worked for me last week when my battery died.

I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my 2012 LS460L wouldn't start after replacing my old dead battery with a new one. My headlights, interior lights, radio, and A/C fan would come on, and the doors would lock and unlock like normal, but my car would not start. I figured the problem might have something to do with the Lexus security system, but I couldn't figure out what to do to resolve it. I followed your instructions on this forum page, and my car started right up! I thought I was going to have to get my car towed to a Lexus dealer. THANK YOU!

starting trouble LS460

Tried shibus trick tonight, replaced the battery a few weeks ago after I was having trouble starting the car back in early July, it would take 3 to 4 attempts to get it started. After changing the battery it would start up right away for a couple of weeks then back to 3 or 4 tries it went late in july when it was really hot out. Will see if the trick works in the morning, as this only happens after the car sits for a while and only started happening in hot weather. Does anyone know what else could be causing the issue, if it's not the battery? Searches on the forum showed it could be a number of different things from fuel pump to fuel injectors and even the starter.

Shibumi1 method worked. My battery was dead, so I was jumping it off my F250 so the hood was up. It still worked though. Thanks!!!

I assume this problem has something to do with the alarm. Do you know what triggers it? I have an '11 LS460 that I've put about 50k miles on and thankfully never had this happen.
