Do all 2009+ models have speakers in the roof? I don't recall ever noticing these.

 

those are air diffusers for the rear seat package or executive package equipped cars.

 

Thank you, aypues. I couldn't find much about them. What does an air diffuser do inside the car? I thought the LS already had a charcoal-based air purifier. Is the diffuser for scented air cartridges or something similar?

 

That's good to know. I was informed that's is where the Infrared sensors are located that adjust the temperatures to body heat.

 

My car has the UltraLux package with reclining rear seats and these "speakers" i.e., air diffusers. The manual is not very helpful in describing their function. But I know for sure the infrared sensors are found only on the Executive package, and not in the UltraLux. The IR sensor is also overhead but these are not it.
