My LS performed well, now hopefully I can find another...
So while out this morning a young lady in a pickup truck driving in the opposite direction as me decided to do a u-turn right in front of me. I managed to avoid most of her but as a result of her negligent turn we did end up in an accident. Luckily I was able to walk away with only a headache and some soreness (going to see my doctor tomorrow) and my daughter wasn't with me and the lady driving the truck did not seem injured. Also luckily, a witness stopped and told the police what happened so they gave the F150 driver a ticket, and the lady driving the truck has insurance. With the heavy extent of the damage to the front end of the car I will be hoping to get it totaled as I am afraid of what gremlins will creep up if they replace so many suspension parts. Needless to say I am very grateful for how well the LS absorbed the impact and that no unnecessary airbags went off.

That's horrible, man! Relieved to know you are OK.
The damage looks pretty bad, much worse than Greg's car that was totaled after hitting the curb. So, hopefully you will get your wish and be able to drive a 2013+ LS before too long. It will be very hard though to find one in that gorgeous green color. Sorry again, and hope you feel better soon.

What a bummer! Its such a unique one too.
At least you're okay, cars can be replaced. I wouldn't automatically assume a total, remember Greg's was considerably older...

Sorry about your car bro! If it's any comfort I work at a Lexus certified collision center I write the estimates for our State Farm account, looking at the pics looks repairable to me just be sure to get the repairs done at a reputable shop that's gonna warranty there work 👍

Thanks for the kind words guys, the car is at a shady Houston scam looking tow lot right now, if it does get repaired I will have it done at a Lexus dealer. For sure I'll be looking for another LS, 2013+ would be nice if I can find one in my budget.

I wouldn't seek out a Lexus dealer specifically. Just concentrate on finding the best shop.

Yeah, I agree. Pick a well-reviewed body shop. There are excellent independent body shops that are certified/approved to work on vehicles from major car makers. They can buy all the OEM parts. I had a great experience with my body shop recently when I got some hail damage fixed. They dealt with the insurance company and found ways to save me money.

I had mine looked at while at the dealership. The dealership was able to bring up every single thing that would need to be replaced and at dealer cost it was a win win for me. I lost my LS, but I didn't have to worry about driving such a repaired car. I wish you luck.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm not sure about what body shop would be best so as of now the plan is to have it moved to the Lexus dealer on Monday just because I'm assuming that will be the safest default place to take it. I don't have a good feeling at all about the body shop it was left at today at all.

Oh no... glad your okay and everyone can walk away.. damn that green is beautiful I love cars with unique colors.. if the engine isn't damaged there might be a chance it can be saved but would you really want it back??? Hard choice for me.
