Trunk lid won't go up or down electrically
Check all fuses all good how do I check electric motor

open up the glove box. There is a switch that says trunk opener cancel. Try pressing it an attempt again

If toggling the valet switch in the glove box does not make a difference, then maybe it is the motor. When you open the trunk manually, are there any grinding or clicking noises and/or do you encounter any resistance? Providing this information may allow folks here to help you better. If all else fails, it is time to visit your friendly dealer. |
I have a 08 ls600 hl bought it about two months ago.trunk will release but will not open all the way like it did when I bought it,plus the trunk will not go down automatically when button is pressed. No grinding Tried every thing I know.I have the skills to work on cars so I will pull motor soon and have it tested.

Hopefully you will be able to DIY. I had a similar problem and it cost over a grand to repair but covered under warranty.
