Looking for advice
I'm thinking about selling my 2008 LS460L and was wondering if you guys could offer some guidance. It has 83K miles on it and has been maintained at the dealer. It has all of the recalls done. Replaced all 4 struts about 2 years ago. The prices for these are all over the place, ranging from 18K to 25K.
It's black/black. The car is stock. Only mods it has are the 20% tinted windows and Navi Override.
Please let me know what you think I should ask for it.
Thank you

A Carmax quote is very close to the going auction price. A dealership will typically tack on another 5 grand on top of that, to make a buck.

Thank you all for your feedback. I have an appointment tomorrow evening with a company that accepts KBB offers. My car was appraised by KBB at $21.4. Will keep you posted.

I've decided to switch to BMW for the next 3 years. I'm going with 2016 750i xDrive. The technology in the BWM is decades ahead of Lexus and the drive was amazing. I don't think it's going to be as reliable as my LS460 has been, however; all service and maintenance is covered by BMW for the next 4 years. I'm going with a 3 years lease, so I'm covered. Will see what Lexus comes out with in the next 3 years, so I might be back.

The 750i is an amazing automobile and technology galore. You will be well covered for four years. I can't wait to see what technology and features the next generation LS will have to offer and Lexus continues to keep us in the dark. Time should tell.

But it's not a car I'd want to own when it's 5 or 10 years old
The next Gen LS looks to be promising in cutting edge tech if that's a key buying criteria.
Dimapb,
Good luck with the sale of your LS, I'm sure you'll move it quickly once you figure out the pricing.

If you're not keeping the 750 long term, go for it. All those bells and whistles go bad right before the warranty lapses, draining your wallet.
