Default Radio problem ls460 / 07

Hey all. Has anyone experienced the radio turning on and off for no reason. It does not matter what mode it is on the radio will shut off completely and turn back on a few seconds later. What is the cause and what was done to solve the problem. Thanks in advance. btw it is not a Mark Levinson

I have an 09 and had the same problem develop over the past few weeks. Mine turns on by itself periodically. Mine is a ML model.

I had it happen to me twice, hasn't done it since. I also have the base stereo..I imagine it could be a loose connection behind the unit...perhaps some moisture in the connectors or the unit is getting too hot, I don't know. But for me at least, it only did it twice. How long/often is it happening to you?

My 2007 ls460 has recently started doing the same thing. It will shut off by itself ~~2 times per short drive to work daily.
There seems to be some correlation to other button presses on the dash ..i.e. climate button BUT NOT ALWAYS.
Hoping this is not an indication I will have to replace the unit.

I've been having a loss of XM signal for the past year or so. Seems to happen in the same spots and it is gradually getting more widespread. I've always suspected that it was due to an interfering signal. This thread has caused me to look a little deeper. I suspect that this WSJ article is related to the cause.
