Default Battery life

I have 05 and 08 LS, 10 RX350 and have battery problems within two years. These batteries are all provided by Lexus Dealer. Does anyone else have these issues

My solution was to install a Optima Yellow Top group size 34/38.

My AC Delco Professional is two years old now. 7 year warranty.

Optima Yellow Tops (and reds too), have been getting a lot of flak on the net lately. LOTS of posts about them being crap now, since being made in China.....YRMV.

Odyssey batteries are more expensive but are made in the USA and get excellent reviews.

I have a RedTop with a 9/2009 sticker on it; the warranty was three years. That battery will be 7 years old this year. Make it in China or your basement the Optima battery is good for all nighters with the lights on. Optima Yellow protects you from calling roadside assist.

I use Odyssey in all of my cars and will put one in the LS when it needs a battery.

I think you missed my point (I wasn't very clear)....the fact that they're made in China may have nothing to do with quality, but the point I was making was that people are posting on several forums (jeep, Tundra, Maserati and several others) of failures - especially yellow tops. If you Google "Optima yellow top problems", you'll get an unusually high number of hits.

I've never used Optima or Odyssey, but everything I read online raves about the Oddyssey batteries being the best and bulletproof. However, they apparently are more $$ as well.

I spoke too soon: My Red Top crapped out yesterday. It lasted 6yrs 9mos. So a $195 Optima Yellow Top goes in the sut tonite (stamped 4/16).
