There are 2 fuel pumps, one on each rocker cover. You'd likely have a bunch of smoke and burning oil smell if the o-rings sealing the pumps to the rocker covers were leaking, because the oil would drip right down onto the exhaust manifold.

The statement is definitely valid as I had both fuel pumps rebuilt with kits under my extended warranty. Between the parts and labor it came out to about $350 or so total. I was leaking oil just like the original poster and not fuel.

If it is, that looks like it'd be an easy fix. I remember seeing those fuel pumps when I did my spark plugs, if I remember they don't look too bad to get to. Of course we are talking high pressure, so the fuel will need to be bled off (I don't know what the service procedure is, but I imagine you can pull the fuel pump fuse and run it until it runs out of gas?). How much could those seals and gaskets cost? I think the fuel pump gasket comes included with most valve cover gasket kits anyway.

I think the original poster had indicated it was a leak in the oil cooler line.
However, what others have mentioned about the high-pressure fuel pumps just reinforces how I feel about them being a gigantic weak link in ANY direct-injected engine.
Just have to scratch one more item on the eventual failure bucket list on any direct-injected engine looking to exceed 100k miles IMO. In other words, the probability of failure on these things are extremely high and one could reasonably expect them to fail, either moderately or catastrophically, at high costs. Or simply put, if you plan on driving a direct-injected engine more than 100k miles, I would have a couple thousand ready for replacement.

That's not an oil cooler leak, it is the transmission cooler!
You should change your transmission fluid if it looks like engine oil....

I did both fuel pump seals at the valve cover for under $40. There is a thread on this forum that has a video on how to replace the drivers side gasket. I posted a reply with short cuts. I also posted a step by step to replace the passenger side (with pics) on this forum. The drivers side took about 1 3/4 hrs and the passenger side only an hour. Not hard at all. I am NOT a technician, but a shade tree guy. Computer guy by trade.

2007 ls 460 lwb
Hello I'm new to this forum. I just bought a 2007 ls 460 lwb with 105,600 miles 1 owner from a dealer in sharon, ma. Today I noticed small drops on my garage floor. I put down some cardboard and freaked out when I saw a spot of what looked like oil. It's the 5th day of taking posession of the car, what should I do. take to local dealer or what. I checked the oil and it's full engine coolant is low tho. I'm lost yall please help me..

Have you tried finding out where it's coming from like the OP to this thread did? Either take a look for yourself or get it to someone who can (who also isn't a dealership) and figure out where it's coming from. Can't help you until that's done.
But, if you just bought the car 5 days ago I'd go back and ask if they could take a look. Assuming it's not a buy-here pay-here lot that gave you a sweet >15% interest rate on your loan I'd guess they'd be happy to at least diagnose it for you at no cost.

This is what the dealer told me today: I spoke to my General Manager and Pre-Owned Director, Don Xu, in regards to your 2007 LS. Because you are 5 hours away, please bring your LS to the closest Lexus dealership in your area to have a diagnostic run to see what is leaking and where. Do not have them complete any work on the car, please let us know what the find during the diagnostic find and what the cost is to fix it.

Only help I can offer with that post is to take some time to check out a few threads and deduce how to make a post that will get you the answers/help you're looking for. Good luck!
