Default F-Sport Advice

Hello all, long time no post. I have a 2010 base LS460 that's been a great vehicle so far. I have an opp to upgrade to a 13 Fsport with all of the goodies except AWD which I don't need here in TN. I've just heard so much negativity about the brakes, squeaking, cost to replace etc. I am just looking for advice. Thanks in advance!

Unless you are in east TN, I don't see a reason for AWD. That's just more opportunity for issues. Don't know about the brakes on the F Sport, but overall that is one sweet ride. If you're buying from a Lexus dealer have it checked. if you're not have it checked. Take look at the Lexus Drivers site by loading in the vin and see all that's been done.

I just purchased a '15 black/flaxen. Awesome ride, esp the Sport+ mode (comfort mode is not too shabby either).

Yes, there is a very slight brake squeal....It's random and only seems to happen when almost coming to a stop. Dealership said that they will replace the pads but I'm mulling over wanting them to fiddle with the pads, etc. Another small issue is the seat area under the thigh (hamstring area right above knee) -- this is probably a personal issue but it sticks up a little too much and my hamstring area aches after a 15 min ride.... Could be bec. I have the seat extended all the way back as I like to drive with leg straight

Just finished detailing.... Will post pics on my other thread in this forum

@Hammer - How many miles on the F-Sport LS? Is it still under warranty?

You can resolve the squealing and high dusting with a ceramic replacement for under $100. Hardly a deal breaker at that price point. I say go for it. I may be biased though.

Where did you get headlight harness from? Your concern was with the brakes right?

I don't see anything linking my note nor did I provide one. My comment is directed at the brakes.

Lol. I see what the OP was talking about. It's a spambot. Ceramic Replacement is linked an eBay page for headlight harness. You won't see it until you logoff clublexus.

Hey,

What's up with the fog lights? Have I missed something lately? lol

WIRE HALOGEN H7 ONE HARNESS HEAD LIGHT FOG CERAMIC REPLACEMENT REPAIR ADAPTER

I have LED headlights from factory.

I had dealer swap out front and rear pads to Carbotech. Labor was free, I paid for pads.
