I've been trying to get remote start installed in my 2013 LS460 F-Sport and can't find any place to do it. Both dealer and bestbuy said that the Entune or Navigation interfere with the frequency that the bypass module uses. I've searched the forum and looks like there were times that the software for the bypass module was not available. Does anyone have remote start on his/her 2013 LS F-Sport? I have the same problem on my 2014 IS250 F-Sport too. Talked to dealer about having a car in this price range and no remote start option available, and he told me to buy a new car

Well, I have remote start on my LS (not an F Sport) and it has nav. No idea if Entune has anything to do with it. Being an F Sport should not be a factor

The Lexus app doesn't work with your model year?

It works, but as soon as I open the door it stops the engine. I think this is more of a safety/theft prevention feature.

Yes, "take over" feature has not been cracked by remote companies on Toyotas or Lexus yet. My wife's CT200 is the same. All other auto manufacturers have been sorted out. Not a big deal, since all I have to do is the start button and drive away. It would be more of a hassle if I had to dig out a key, insert it, and then start it, etc.

Thanks for the quick replies. First, the Lexus App won't work with my model year. I think the dealer guy said only 2015 and up. And I do know about the "take over" situation when the door opens, the remote start shuts the car off. Had it on my '14 Avalon. Bestbuy guy checked and said it's available for my car, so I bought all the parts needed, idata link module, viper 5906, SmartStart VSM350. But, when they tried to program the idatalink module, a warning popped up and said its not compatible with Entune or Enform system. He called the manufacture of the module and was told that the Enform can interfere with the module and the module could reset itself. When it does that, the module will need to be reprogrammed. And he also said it happened to 60% of these cars. That's how far I got.
Kpred1970, on the link you provided, someone had the same problem and had the system installed anyway. It turned out fine. So, maybe I'll take my chance and go install it. Thx for the link.
Roadfrog, I think your car is pre 2013. Not sure if the Enform system in yours and mine are the same. But, I do know the 13, 14 are different from the 15-16s. Otherwise I could have use Lexus RES from the Enform app.
