Default New wheels (-1 size)

I did it - replaced the stock 19's with OEM 18's.

To be honest, I prefer the look of the 19's, but in the pursuit of improved ride and noise characteristics, I dropped the 19x8 in favour of 18x7.5, and shod them with 235/50 Pirelli P7 Plus.

I am LOVING the difference!
If the ride was great before, it's phenominal now!

(BTW, take-offs are available...incl Goodyear tyres with 2,460 miles on them)

Yeah the 19s look better, no question but the ride on the 18s is a good bit better.

You'll love the Pirellis, so happy with mine.

Yeah I can't imagine what the ride with 22's would be like. I mean the wheels look great but I imagine it'd feel very rough.

Awesome!

Honestly, that's the only thing that kind of gives me pause in regards to upsizing is ride degradation. Although others here have reported minimal changes while going up, it's interesting to note how people felt going down. In fact, it's rather unique I would imagine, but does provide a much different perspective.

Nothing can really compensate for having that extra cushion of air riding under our fat cars, but I do covet the look of the 19 inch wheels.

All I can tell you is I drove the car on the 18s and on the 19s, and the difference in ride was significant to me.

If you're selling the 19's and no one else is wanting them, let me know.

No doubt there is a noticeable difference from 18 to 19. But certain tires can definitely make it pretty rough. If one is riding on OEM 19" wheels and is concerned about ride comfort, there are probably less than a handful of tires that will do the job. And some tires can make it down right miserable.
