Radiator Replacement

I answered this in your other post. But to summarize, you can spend as much as you want, but lets face it....a rad is about as low-tech as you can get. They come with a lifetime warranty, but mine is going on 3 years and performing flawlessly. I think I've logged about 60k miles on it so far. They're made in the USA.

Ok guys!
I'm advancing in my project replacing the radiator.
I don't see any rubber housing at the bottom of the radiator like there is on top of it. I'm wondering if I threw those away along with the old radiator or it just didn't have them when I bought the car.
Do you guys know?

Okay guys, radiator took a dump on me last weekend and the new one came in a few days ago . Get halfway through the project today and realize the new radiator has male connectors for the oil cooler where the old one had female connectors
Anyone know what the deal is with this? Did Lexus change it up at some point and I just need to find the right adapters to connect the oil cooler hoses?

To get some type of adapter I would take the radiator and hoses to a hydraulic hose shop. The radiator connections look like JIC. Looks like the hose fittings can be replaced to match the male JIC on the radiator.

Went to a hydraulic shop first thing this morning and got some fittings that worked, only to realize the radiator wasn't going to work. Little more digging and I found that this is for a RWD model.
Have the right one on order and it should be here Thursday.

As a general rule, whenever I remove a damaged assembly from my vehicle, I remove any part from it that is not obviously damaged and put in a small box or gallon Ziploc until the project is done.
I cannot tell you how many times having that fitting, or rubber foot in the bag has saved me hours of time.

transmission fluid in radiator
I put a new radiator in my 2007 LS460 the other day. Does anyone know how much transmission fluid I should add to make up for the fluid lost in the radiator exchange? Thanks for any advice.

Hi crocs, just want to know the reason for replacing your radiator? Was there any error message shown on the screen? Or did you notice any leak under thr carriage or any oil or water dripping down on the road?
Becuase i own a 2007 LS 460 L with 130000 miles and i have never replaced the Radiator.
So far i can see it is in running condition
Did you overcome any issue in your radiator??
Because.nornally.radiator can Lasts for
15 plus years if maintained well.
Thank you
