Just got home from the trip back. REALLY happy with the tires. The car just glides along now, road noise is minimal on all pavement types, and the ride over expansion joints and broken highway pavement is much improved.

No flat spotting. The car sat outside for about 36 hours undriven, then got in it to leave this morning to drive home, no flat spotting at all.

Very, very happy. If you're waiting to replace the Bridgestone tires...don't wait.

Awesome to hear SW.....life is too short to ride on tires that u are not happy with. Now u can put a check in this box and move on to the next project.

I put them on my ls about a month ago. great ride quiet tires.
Wet traction though is very poor. All the customer reviews at tire rack rated wet traction as great.
I am probably going back to the Bridgestone Terenzas I had on it before.

Drove it a little bit today in the rain, seemed fine but we will see.

The OEM Bridgestone Turanzas?!? Surely you can do better than them.

the other night, my friend and I went for a ride in his 328i. He is returning it soon at the end of his lease contract. Anyhow, it was a bit wet on the road from a mild rain, and I took the car for a spirited drive. I could not get the tires to cut loose. At the end of the drive I had to look to see what the tires were because I was that impressed with the handling and wet traction.

Hi Bruce.......thanks for your review. I have P7s havent noticed wet traction issues but only have 4k on mine. Yours is the first review I have read besides Tire Rack that notes an issue w wet traction. Can u give me some detailed real world scenarios that u found the tire slippin on you please. What were ya doing when u noticed them lose traction?

Thanks

sorry I was in error. The last tires I had were Bridgestone Serenity. I liked them a lot.
the Perellis will slip when starting from a stop light in typical Seattle light rain. the traction control kicks in and I am in no way a lead foot.
Last week I did try to make a quick start turning left from as stop sign. I almost lost control of the car. It slipped and turned about 120 degrees. Never had that happen before with any tire other than the Bridgestone Turenza el 42 that came on the car. they were replaced with Pilot sport AS, then went to Continental Dws which had weak side walls, 4 side wall failures 3 on the inside of the tire. then the Serenitys. Car has about 150k miles on it.

I just checked tire rack, they have 2 versions, Allseason and Allseason Plus, which did you choose and why ? I would like to try this tire also.

You want the Plus. The Non-plus is the OEM version, all the new technology and all is in the Plus, the aftermarket version. If you look at reviews they are significantly better on the plus.

Hi Bruce...thanks for your reply. Well you lessened my concern given your description. You live in an area where wet traction is very important. You seem knowledgeable to me so I am in no way discounting your claim. My wet traction concern would be losing traction at 65 miles per hour on the highway.....or taking a turn in a rural area and the rear end slipped out.....or a hydroplane.......a powerful rear wheel drive v8 at a stop light spinning out is easy. In addition there is no way to know how much oil or other fluids are on the ground at any given stop light. Have u done any tests in a parking lot or somewhere else safe to try? Do u have the All Season Plus?
Again to be clear...if you are not comfortable w the tire I completely understand...especially since u live in Water World....I am just trying to learn from you because I have an 04 Ls430 w the All Season Plus P7s and have not had these issues that u describe.

No matter how hard I try, I can't ever make my car lose any traction or control when my traction control is on. Only when I switch it off, do I get some over steer if I really try.

Been out all day in the rain. No issues with traction. I tried to break it loose, full throttle start, throttle turn to the right. Mine are new, and mines an AWD though. We'll see.

Im not terribly concerned about wet traction though, and I had read that as a potential issue before I bought the tires.

Still cannot get over the difference in the ride. The car rides SO much better.
