Default Sweet deal on a 2008 LS600hL

I'm not in the market for an LS600hL (I already own a very nice 2008), but I just noticed what appears to be a tremendous deal on a used 2008 at the BMW Dealer near me in Lincoln Nebraska, and I thought I'd post in case anyone on the forum is in the market.

The car is a 2008 LS600hL with the rear seat executive package (center console, reclining seat with footrest, center tray table, etc.). Looks to be completely loaded, except for the Driver alertness monitoring system. CarFax is clean, although when I read the detailed history on the MyLexus site it appeared to have had a couple of minor bumper mishaps early in it's life. Looks like it's had the Valve Spring Recall done, as well as the Fuel Pressure Switch recall. There's mention of the need to replace all the Upper Control Arms, but it's a bit unclear whether that work was ever done.

The car has 64,000 miles and is being offered at $30,998. Wish I had seen this one last year -- I'd have definitely gone this route (although like I said, I'm totally happy with mine--I just paid quite a bit more for a very similar car without the Executive Package).

I'm not affiliated with this dealer whatsoever, just trying to pass along what looks like a sweet deal so someone else can join the "600hL" Club!

The cup holder cover, and gear shift **** have some fairly serious mis-match to the rest of the console wood. They look quite horrible in my opinion. But maybe a dealer would replace them for free ... with some creative bargaining.

Also, it appears the car does not have the automatic parking feature. Darn I love my car. All this same stuff, plus the (worthless) automatic parking (just for giggles). Well ... I don't have the Executive. Would love to have that, but I have 3 boy plus The Warden. So I found the vibration rear seat package instead.

But otherwise a nice car. I wouldn't kick it to the curb ... I'd hit it!

Service history ok but some wind noises issues and a great price. Worth checking out for someone in the market for a 600h.

It does... you can see it ready for use in the 7th picture. As far as I can tell, the car has every available option, which is typical of cars with executive seating.

It has a few cosmetic flaws that are obvious from the pictures, and looks to me like it was driven in the winter. Still a very nice deal for someone who wants a full-boat 600h and doesn't mind the 5000+-pound weight. Just include the ~$400 cost of a new shift **** in the deal.

TLDR for my below post: it's possible the shift **** wood color on the LS600h is "normal".

I have the same wood in my 2010 LS460 SWB but Matador Red exterior and parchment interior) , and the shift **** wood looks the one for this LS600h: lighter in color than the wood trim. My steering wheel isn't an exact match to the wood trim either, but the color is much closer to the wood trim color, i.e. darker than with the color of the wood on the shift ****.

I seem to recall that the LS460's wood trim comes from the same tree, but the steering wheel and shift **** doesn't, although Lexus still tries to match them. I noticed the discrepancies, esoecially with the shift ****, but doubt that most passengers would.

If this becomes an issue for me, I might replace my current shift **** with a leather/chrome one.

I agree -- my 2008 460 has the same shift **** discrepancy, although with the 460 it's not quite as glaring because the **** has just a narrow strip of wood. I read somewhere that the shift ***** are prone to fading over time after everyday contact with finger oils. eBay replacement ***** in medium walnut look a lot closer to the color of the rest of my wood, but I haven't been able to convince myself that fixing the issue is a rational use of $100+.

My shift **** suffered the same fading, so I replaced it with a **** on Ebay that has the chrome strip instead of the wood and it looks great and suits the interior better than the original. Here's what I got:

In the market for 2010-2011 certified Black or White LS460. Might jump on this just because it is LS600h. My only concern would be car, car is out of warranty just in case something were to happen.
