Default Takes 20 mins to do yourself

I just changed mine and it eliminated the noise so its no biggie. Just be VERY CAREFUL not to lean on the tit/hose from your radiator to the overflow. I broke mine off by barely leaning in on it... bad location and easy to break. I just posted my fix but still an avoidable hassle...

Indeed! What dctex said! Several of us here at CL have made this grievous error. So be careful! The good news is, it's a an easy DIY and cheap too.

mine has been screeching every now and then. i use the belt dressing to get it to go away for a bit. bought a new belt just havent really had the time to change it yet. The belt itself is not expensive at all.

Nothing wrong with that - It's cheap maintenance and easy to do. 36 bucks is fine and will last for years and tens of thousands of miles, so who cares? That said, you can get OEM for a dollar or two more. They have Bando (OEM) for $11.75 and the 10 dollar ones are also OEM quality AC Delco.

Obviously climate where one lives will contribute to the factors of how long it'll last. Same with anything else made from rubber.
