Does this extended coverage only apply to vehicles that show damage? I think that the previous owner probably always parked out of the sun so the interior is in good condition. Good for me when I bought it but I mostly park under the sun at home and at work. So I'm concerned that over time I will start having these melting issues. I've heard the coverage was extended 10 years. Is that 10 years from when the car was originally purchased by the original owner? Is it 10 years from when the original warranty ended? Has or would Lexus replace the panels as a preventative measure since it's a known defect? I have a 2007 460 SWB and I live in FL.

Like I said I also noticed my door handles getting sticky. When you wipe with a cloth lint gets stuck on it. Tonight I had two passengers in the rear seat and without me telling them
about it prior they mentioned their door handles were tacky to the touch. Looks like I will need to call corporate too. I don't notice much discoloration it's more noticeable when touched.

I just put in a claim this post week and they time me that my vin doesn't match the 07 models that is covered under the extended warranty. I put a claim with corporate and how to hear from her soon. Car only had 32k miles and is tinted but still cracked and gets sticky when it gets hot.

I've gotten denied by both dealer and corporate because mine didn't match the vin. Can't wait any longer to see if they change their mind, so I'm going to have it upholstered in leather, which won't get sticky but hopefully remains taut.
