3145 Miles
Just completed a 20 day 3145 mile trip. Burned 121.066 gals of fuel. We averaged 25.98 MPG. We would have done a little better but the last 400 miles was against a 25 MPH headwind with rain. Most of the trip I was getting high 27's to low 28's MPG. You just cannot say enough about what a joy these cars are to travel long distances in. I set the cruise at 75 MPH and just let her roll. The DW could not be happier with our choice to go with the LS 460L. We will have the car a year the 12th of July and have already put 14,662 miles on it and everyone of them has been a pure joy. Almost time for my 45,000 mile service.

Our 2011 LS 460 is the most comfortable cruiser we've owned. We enjoyed a 1,000 mile trip from San Diego to Petaluma with results similar to your trip. Even got to try the fog lights when we swung by Bodega Bay for dinner. The car is quiet allowing us to talk without shouting or listen to the Mark Levinson sound system which is really quite good. Glad you enjoyed your trip and hope you have many more.
I've put 25,000 miles on mine since I bought mine a year ago, I average 26.5 mpg. It's given me ZERO problems (97,500 miles). I'm thinking of taking it to Florida this summer...I have doubt it would handle the trip flawlessly.
Glad to hear you trip went well - these cars are made to be driven.

The LS is extremely comfortable, smooth, and quiet on any trip. It's a pleasure to drive and its made to be driven. I just made a 800 miles road trip this weekend and I truly enjoyed the drive in my 2010 LS L.
Love reading these stories. My wife and I did a trip to Chicago last month. That's roughly 530 miles each way. it was such a pleasurable ride. In addition to the comfort I must say having satellite radio certainly helped.
Great cars!

Glad to hear it and I have to agree.
Just did a 1,000+ mile trip up to Maine and back this holiday weekend. Once up in Maine, was cruising at 90MPH very smoothly, other than the strong winds blowing me around a bit. Even messed around with a few cars (she wasn't too amused) and I think they were surprised at the big sedan's pick-up. Love it.
