Default 2007 LS460L interior cleaning issues

I have the 2007 LS460L with the lighter cream color interior. It's beautiful until someone scuffs it with their shoe or something. It's such a bear to clean. I have to really get some elbow grease into it and even then you still see remnants of the marks.

Does anyone have this interior (or anyone I suppose) and have a good cleaning solution to this issue? I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks,

I have the same interior and use a product I get from my Lexus dealer. Its a 2 bottle deal, one for cleaning and one for conditioning. The cleaner is very good and I also use it on my other cars. It has the Lexus logo on the bottle. I recommend it.

I highly recommend Griots Garage interior cleaner with either a clean microfiber cloth or lint free wipes.
I would follow that with Griots Vinyl protector on non leather surfaces and a high quality leather product.
If the scuffs are on the leather it is hard to remove and as a last resort you can try Griots leather rejuvenator.
These products will cause the least amount of damage compared to the typical off the shelf products that only mask the problem and end up looking like cooking oil.

Griots Garage Interior Cleaner. I'll check it out. Does it really clean out the scuffs and marks? I'm mostly concerned with the vinyl. Thanks

Nothing will get out the damage caused by scuff marks. What most interior dressing will do is mask the damage by wetting the chalkiness from drying out. If you treat it regularly it may actually guard it from further scuffing by being a little more playable and slippery.

The interior cleaner is the first step in cleaning the dirt and it may actually make the scratches look worse but it is a necessary first step. You will then have to follow it up with Vinyl dressing.

Do not use any all in one cleaners available on the market as they do a sub par job and it may actually hurt the interior.

This video is pretty good. Whatever cleaner you use make sure it is PH balanced for leather. My 04's leather has held up very well because it was taken care of from the beginning. Real quality material.

Another vote for Griot's Interior Cleaner. It is a great product. For protection, while generally speaking I am a fan of Griot's products, I am partial to 303 Aerospace Protectant. It provides good protection and a nice finish that is not greasy or shiny.

On the seats I used Zaino leather cleaner and Leather-In-A-Bottle conditioner, but that's neither here, nor there, since you asked about vinyl.

And yet another vote for Griot's and Zaino cleaner and leather conditioner.

I'm not sure I buy the narrative in the video. Most (if not all) modern car seat leather (including Lexus) have an impermiable clear coat applied to the seats.

Absolutely correct. These aren't saddles or RCMP high boots. All vehicles manufactured after 1997 have a vinyl coating.

I did not want to say anything but now that someone has so I don't look like a pompous you know what I will say that video is a sure way to ruin good leather. Always use the least aggressive method first. If in doubt test the cleaner on a non visible part of the leather .
