Default Which has the most comfortable seats, LS460L, S500 or 750iL

Hello everybody,

I wonder if there is anybody here who drove BMW 750iL or Mercedes S500 before or after being with a Lexus LS460, I mean drove it for a significant amount of time not only a test drive or for a day or two.

If you have done that, what is the most comfortable and smooth on bumpy roads for you?

The reason I am asking this is that after a few months I will have a back surgery (Installing titanium rods to correct my severely scoliotic spine, if you are wondering), and the surgeon told me that it is much better and safer for me to drive a comfortable car after the surgery at least for 24 months as the spine fuses and everything gets settled on place.

Thanks to all for the help

Bmw's seats are supportive but firm. Lexus and MB are great. To me MB are a little more cushy but I prefer the seats of the Lexus

With the BMW and Mercedes you also have to consider the comfort of the seats in the waiting room of their service department. Since most BMW and Mercedes owners spend a lot of time there.

I did a test drive for the three, and I felt the MB seats are a little bit more comfortable, but I think that really depends on whether the vehicle have their Magic Body Control system or not.

I'll tell ya what. Go over to mbbworld.org and watch some of the videos of that magic body control in action , if I had a back issue and had the coin to drop on a new S550 with that...that's what I would get.

MB stepped their game up with their new S550. It is incredible. I can only hope Lexus decides to pull their head from their lower region with their next LS. They need to really make a ton of improvements to stay competitive.

As far as seats, I found my 1998 LS400 seats more comfortable than my 07 LS460 seats.

the s550, both the previous gen and the current gen is a few steps above in terms of interior comfort and quality compared to bmw and lexus. my best advice for you is to test drive the s550 and ls460. I would exclude the bmw because they tend to be on the firm (sporty) "drivers car" oriented

and as a rule of thumb, the larger the wheels and skinner the sidewall on the tires, the firmer the ride over unforgiving roads.

I owned a 2008 LS460L and now I drive a 2014 S550. Not that the LS was poor but, the S550 seating is on another level. The overall comfort and technology on the S550 is definitely superior. A couple days ago, I drove from Des Moines to Akron, OH (about 700 miles) and I did not at all get tired.

Hands down the LS. Its not for cornering, or draggin on stop lights, Its not sporty at all, but if you wanted that would wait for the RC-F
