Year: 2007 Lexus LS460L
Mileage: 120000 km
Oil: Mobil 1 Synthetic
Why is that your preference: I used it in my Porsche Cayenne Turbo which I had previously. It was the recommended brand by Porsche. I just got used to buying it and everyone else states that it is good.

2008 Lexus LS600hL
122K miles
Mobil 1 Synthetic 15K
To me its just a brand that has proven itself in high performance engines so i figured that if its good for formula one cars then it should be good for my Joseline(LS600hL) and i also use it in my other cars as well 2006 Toyota 4runner Limited (110k miles), and 2002 Acura TL Type S (226k miles) and they all run like a sewing machine

Year: 2007 LS460L
Mileage: 23,013
Oil: Full synthetic as provided by my local dealer. They told me that LS460's automatically get full synthetic without the need to upgrade at the time of service. They did not however tell me what brand they used.

robert1408 05-23-14 07:46 AM

Year: 2007 LS460 swb
Mileage: 48,700
Oil: 0W20 Mobil 1 syn. or 0W20 Toyota syn.
Why: Both good and not expensive. Buying Toyota oil is a good excuse to look at new Lexus and Toyota cars!

Year: 2008 LS460
Mileage: 29,100
Oil: Mobil1 Sync. 0W20 every 3500 miles
Use Mobil1 because Castrol Titanium does not make 0W20.

AZGS4 05-23-14 12:33 PM

Year: 2007 LS460
Mileage: 78,800
Oil: Mobil1 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy synthetic oil
Why: Proven brand with positive reviews and it is available at Walmart in 5 quart sizes at a good price.

Use regular dino oil in all my cars. Change it every 5000 miles. If I was doing extended oil changes, I would definitely go with synthetic but don't see the point with regular maintenance.

roadfrog 05-24-14 06:45 AM

Year: 2008
Mileage: 65000 mi
Oil: Quaker State Ultimate Durability Full Synthetic 5w20
http://www.quakerstate.com/CA/#/CA/m...ate-durability
Why is that your preference: Its only my preference now, because it was on sale for under 20 bucks for 5 qts. I always buy whatever is on sale.

On this oil change, I'll be sending a sample of my used oil to Blackstone Labs for analysis.

Persocon 05-27-14 12:14 PM

Year: 2008 LS460
Mileage: 87,350 miles
Oil: costco Mobil 1 synthetic 5W30 for this summer, every 7,500 miles
Why is that your preference: 30 weight because I want to see if this will slow down oil consumption, viscosity will not affect flow rate, flow rate and viscosity are two different things. Being synthetic, it has very good flow rate, so I'm not worried about using 30 weight instead of 20.

will post oil analysis at 7500 on this oil.
