After owning LS 460 for a half year, I found a Lexus umbrella in the car last week

Anyone knows if it was the part of original equipment (like in Bentley, Skoda Superb, etc)? If it was, where exactly is umbrella holder in this car? I know Bentley has holder in the trunk, Skoda has holder in rear door, but where my umbrella should be placed in LS?

 

I don't think there is an umbrella holder. You can purchase one, but I do not believe it was original equipment. But I was wrong once....

 

There are aftermarket holders that attach to the driver or passenger headrest poles (that go into the seat) and hang towards the rear.

 

I keep mine behind the rear passenger seat deck, there is a grove that umbrellas fit perfect back there.

 

Well where did the previous owner hide it that it took you that long to find it?

He must have purchased it at an outrageous price at the dealers parts and accessories counter.

We get a fair amount of rain here so I stow umbrellas (the short collapsible kind) in each of the back seat door wells. This also reduces the chance that passengers will forget items they left in the door.

 

Honestly? No idea I simply asked guys at car wash to make a complete cleaning of my vehicle; exterior, interior, windows, trunk, etc. When I came back home, I saw some strange thing on rear seat. Took it and it was Lexus umbrella. So I guess they found it somewhere in the car and put on the rear seat.

 

I just keep mine in the glove box.

 

I'm confused. Does this umbrella have a straight handle or angled handle? There are two photos.
Does the straight handle have an LED light?

 

It's the same umbrella...You turn the lower part on the handle so the LED light will swiwel 180 degrees at an angle, so it can light straight down or in an angle....I can also mention that this umbrella is self-erecting (Fully), by the touch of the upper putton and semi-close with the lower button...See the link for more pictures:
