It's like riding in a limo. As a driver, it doesn't fell huge. I test drove a SWB and don't recall it feeling any different then the LWB I ended up buying. My to opinion is that if you can afford the extra money for the LWB, get it. After all, bigger is better...at least that's what she said...
Totally agree about the children component. I'm 6'6" and wish they'd put a couple of extra inches in the front seat area but either way you know I'm putting my seat all the way back and then reclining as well. Doing that in my old Q45 gave my 11 year old daughter about 4 inches of leg room. The L model gives her a good 15 or so inches of leg room!

I also love how when I was driving a couple of co-workers to lunch, I took a call and I could overhear them talking about how stylin' the car was with all the controls in the back seat, etc. (something they'd never say directly to me). haha

Unless you're using the reclining feature, is the L really needed? I have had ENORMOUS people in my car and no matter where the seats are set at, there is tons of legroom in my SWB.

I think that the "L" should be the new 460, and the new 460L be way longer to compete with the uber-luxurious Maybach or the soon to come Mercedes Pullman

I have the LWB with Executive Rear Seating. Huge space in back seat for passengers or when I am chilling in the garage getting away from the ruckus in the house. Man cave on wheels. Heck I got my cold box, DVD, TV via vaistech module and massage chair.

Thumbs up Mobile man cave... Lol

Yo all. That sounds cool. Could sure bet use the entertainment /DVD on downtime. Need say no more the LS460 L it is. It's hard tracking down the color combo I'm looking in Florida. Looking now for a week and one dealer has it but they have tooooooo Many bad reviews online and funny thing is the world is really a small world after all because I asked a friend if he every heard about the dealer and first thing out his mouth was EXACT SAMETHING 4 other customers left on their reviews.. :-( he had a bad experience getting his title and documents after he paid.
If anybody knows any dealers in the Florida area with 2007-2009 metallic silver with black interior just holla!!! Ready to buy...

I know when I had my SWB and would go to car meets and sit in my friends LWB 460's & 600hL I was always say I should have bought the L! Now I have one, sometimes I take my lunch break and chill in the rear watching DVDs or listening to music while reclined. I don't have the executive package but I do have the luxury package and rear seat upgrade package so lots of buttons to play with. I'm 6'1 with the extra legroom in the rear is very noticeable, sometimes I let the wifey drive and me and the boy ride in the back (he is 16 yrs old same height), key word is sometimes.

I can't believe nobody has brought up the new VAIS Tech Remote Steerer (Model iDrive460). It gives you another steering wheel and foot pedals from the back seat. I love the look on people's faces when they look in the driver's side window.
