Woohoo Smart Card coming my way
Just won an auction for the smart key card for under $100! Yes it is the one for my 460. Can't wait. Hate carrying around the fob everywhere.
Quick question though. When I take it to be programmed, I have to bring all of my fobs correct? How much do they usually charge?

Yes, they need all keyfobs for programming smart card. It's literally 10 minutes job. It shouldn't be expensive. If your smart card is preowned, dealer have to reprogramCPU >>>> I think !!!? It takes more time!

Lol. eBay.
It sat at $56 the entire time. I went in up to $131, but got the winning bid under 100 with like 20 seconds left.
I always have my wallet on me because I carry everywhere I go so I need my LTC, so it only makes sense. I hate having the big one in my front pocket.

Oh, I was thinking it was a charity auction held locally.

For me the smart card is over rated. I find that I still want the fob to open the trunk when I'm walking up to the car with an arm full of grocery bags, etc. Plus, my mailbox and door key needs to be on me, so it may as well be attached to the fob. I can also open the car doors when my family is standing around it before I get there. Add to that the ability to sound my car in a busy parking lot when I forget where I put it LOL.

My smart card is the single best item I bought for my LS. I keep it in my wallet and save so much time never having to look for keys. Locking it after you get out is just a retraining issue. After a few weeks it was second nature. Love it.

Also living in the Atl heat, when I'm not parked in a deck or covered parking lot, I like to hold down the unlock button to let all the windows down and the sunroof back so the heat can escape (pre cool down method) before I get to the car. Happy for the OP tho. #SometimesItsAboutTheSmallThings
