I like it, did our '99 Black Solara in hitemp Exhaust Header red spray...lots of masking. Wish I'd known about brush on back then. Lasted for 12 years, just had to reach through the wheel vents and wipe them down.

That was the reason my rim guy went with the red, it looks good after a long time.

Perhaps a darker shade of red looks better

Black calipers with the logos looks pretty classy to me..the red is a bit too much IMO but it's your car, so make it work for you, nobody else

I think to complete the look you need flames painted on the quarter panels. (Ala Alan Arkin's BMW in the movie "The In-Laws".)

Not flaming you road frog. It's not my cup of tea, but as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

not feeling the red, but i think your wheel and tire choice clashes with the calipers... something about the wheel and tire set up doesn't look right.

??? The TIRES are a 20 inch staggered setup 275 rear and 245 front.

Or are you just referring to the WHEELS not suiting the car?

To some degree, but still...you don't want to look like a total geek just becasue you think it looks good. I mean, if I wear black knee high socks, sandals, shorts, and an oversize teeshirt tucked in with a belt and a fanny pack, I'd appreciate someone telling me I should probably go clothes shopping.

Yea true, but you did not post asking what do we think IF you painted your calipers red and gather our post to do an analysis on the outcome. You already painted them what you thought looked best with black wheels, so to me you made your mind up b/c by committing to your color choice and was fine with it. Hey to each his own, I support you whatever mods you want to do no matter if I agree or not it's your car and its all good my friend.

I like red calipers on sports cars, not so much on the LS. I think it will look a lot better once you put the caliper stickers on, without it is just looks like too much red. To me any colored caliper except black without the sticker looks like it is missing something. Post pics after you put the stickers on.
