I have driven a 94, 96, and 99 LS to 200,000 plus and (knock on wood), have never had the kind of serious maintenance issues I had when driving mercedes. Tires, batteries, and gas is all.. Currently in a 07 460 that I bought with 40K on it, up to 65k now, and a 03 SC, but I'm out in West Texas where I seem do do 180-230 miles a day, all highway.
I'd take it now at that price range.

That's an insane deal. That's even cheaper than a lot of the newer LS430's I see for sale. I would buy that in a heartbeat!

Wow KBB is really low...

KBB.com
Trade-In Value

Excellent
$17,230
Very Good
$16,630
Good
$15,630
Fair
$12,830

but cars.com only shows 6 LS460 w/ over 100k... cheapest one is 26,995 with 160k...
http://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchr...102&mdId=21339

do it!

Default LS460 Prices

Dealers do not use kbb. They just go by what they are selling for at the auction yard when you trade in.

Why are people worried so much about the miles these days? there's more important things to look at first on the car before purchase than anything. Miles should be the last things you should be worrying about. But overall, that is a good deal that you've mentioned though!

When trading, a dealer will normally offer the lowest price he thinks he will get away with. They use KBB. Edmunds, and mostly Black Book in the Florida area. They will offer less than Black Book to start. They are trying to maximize profit any way they can

Only consider the ACV or Actual Cash Value. Trade in Value is the combination of the new car discount plus ACV. Sometimes dealers will do courtesy trades allowing the owner of the trade in to sell it to a private party but take it in trade so the seller gets a sales tax credit and then sells it for same price but these days required sate warranties may be involved.

I just bought my 3rd LS with over 100,000 miles and have never had one issue in over 150k miles. I just paid 22k for a 2007 with 114,000 miles. Dealer started at 29k. Motor replaced with new one at 80k due to valve spring failure. If anyone hasn't changed valve springs I'd get it done soon or wait for failure and get new motor.

18k for an 08 is crazy cheap.
