Default LS 460 brake actuator noise during braking

My 2007 LS 460 makes a noise like a pump pulse sound during braking. When I step on the brake before comming to a stop there is no noise but once the car is 20 feet before coming to a complete stop at times you feel and here a pulse or pump or vale sound in the front engine area. Sometimes as I increase pressure on the break pedal a little harder you can feel and here a single pule and at times 3 or 4 valve or break pump sound. What might be going here? I am certain the sound is not comming from the wheel area. It is deffinitly under the hood. Could it be a faulty load sensing porportioning valve or booster?

There's a service bulletin on this issue and its a faulty brake actuator. Had mine swapped out awhile ago under the factory warrenty on my 08. Had similar noise while braking and a popping noise from under the hood.

Lexus knows this is a common issue and if you have the extended warranty maybe they will cover it.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!!

FILE A COMPLAINT with NHTSA, even if you have already had the problem fixed under warranty, they need to know about it.
Even if you already paid out of pocket, they need to know about it, and you may get reimbursed if a recall goes ahead.

Lexus knows this is a problem. They need to step up to the plate.

I called the NHTSA today and they do not have one single complaint for this issue (they do now ).
If we want to make Lexus cover it we ALL need to file a complaint with the NHTSA.

If you have/had a problem with the brake actuator go to http://www.nhtsa.gov/Vehicle+Safety/Recalls+&+Defects
and file a complaint (click at the top right of the screen "file a complaint")
Your information will not be given to Lexus.

Whether it was covered under warranty or not, it doesn't matter. The NHTSA needs to know that there is a serious issue with these vehicles.
Please take the 5 minutes to file a complaint with the NHTSA!
