Bored?
I am new to the forum and own a 2007 460L which I purchased new. Before that I owned a 430 LS for 3 years. I have 110,000 miles on my 460L. I just had it detailed and it literally looks new. It drives like it did five years ago. The technology of this car is not outdated. My question to you 460 owners is this. Do you consider other cars or SUV's not because they are better, but just because they are different? I have no problems with my car and believe it is probably one of the best built vehicles ever made, but after 5 years and 110k, I think I am just bored. I have considered switching to maybe the new MB GL SUV or maybe even the LX 570, not because they are better. The problem is I can't justify it when there is absolutely nothing wrong with my 460. Can someone talk me out of changing vehicles just because I am bored of the same thing.
I agree with the above comment. I'd get a 2013 LS or a new LX570. They are damn nice. I like getting 23MPG in my LS. I know I wouldn't get that in an LX. There are other cars that have more aggressive styling, but to me it not worth downgrading in build quality.
i agree I get bored i finished with mods but considering I havent own mines for 2 years yet i am happy the f's are tempting or even a older 600hl but who knowes normally whatever car i think I want I let the wifey get it lol. definitely getting a suv next though for her at least then a sportier daily.
I really try and say that I am going to keep each of my cars for the long haul but I get bored usually after 3 years and get something else. I am impressed it took you 5 years to get bored. I agree with some of the others, I would get the '13 LX570, it is a great truck.
Same here, I am trying to convince my wife to get the 13' LX570 over the 13' Q7. But the Q7 is way more sexier for a woman to drive. As for the GL, we looked into that too but didn't like the handle bar thing in the center console.
Keep the LS you have or get a LX, its more manly!

I've had my 2009 LS460 for two weeks now and plan on holding on to it awhile. I totally agree with the OP as far as getting bored with the car and am guilty of this myself. I traded in my 2008 750Li for this car and am extremely happy to have done it. The 7 was starting to have the famous transmission problem and that's when it was time for it to go. I drove my 95 LS400 for ten years and still regret letting it go. Even if I add more cars, this time I'm not letting my LS go. These cars are just too reliable and that's important to me. I just use it as a daily when the newness wears off.
