Hey everyone, more questions

The prestigious society instructions mention they do not provide instructions about connection to the speed sensor.

1. How did you handle this part of the install? Leave as is? Connected speed sensor?

2. What happens if not connected?

you can leave it unconnected without any detriment.

OR you can pull your navigation head unit and it'll connect there, i think. not worth it unless you're installing the nav bypass at the same time

Oh OK cool. Thanks for that! I was wondering how people say the data system module shows different numbers as car is on hwy and if that would still occur not connected to speed sensor. I suppose that factory a/s ecu is sending other data to the module or something

Ok, now that I have my new 600hL along with the data module installed, I have some follow up questions..hope you cll can chime in.

1. When scrolling through the menu, i see "NORMAL SELECT" pop up. Do i push the top left button to go into Normal Mode? I assume that takes the car to 0's all around and put it at stock setting or does that do something else?

2. I have been setting mine to always be one or two levels lower in the front than rear..otherwise it seems that the car sits lower in the rear, do you all find this to be true also?

3. The Valve and Speed menu screens...I can't figure out what that is for...is that just for FYI purposes only or can I accidently change the settings and mess up things?

Otherwise, I pretty much have it all figured out. Since I have AWD, I don't go lower than 6 in the front because it seems like thats the max i can go. I have been daily cruising at either 2F / 1R or 3F / 2R and it has been very comfortable.

Here's a couple pics of car sitting at 5F and 4R iirc

what I am noticing in my LS460 2010 , is:
when using high height + comfort mode -> the car raised , and I got extra comfort ( very noticeable )
when using only comfort - > the car somehow provide soft since in suspension .
when using sport mode -> the suspension becomes stiffer ( very noticeable )

I can't see it causing any malfunction/functional performance issues to my understanding.

As humble henry said, no, I'm not an engineer. I'm not smart enough to be one. Just a small business owner and a consultant for real estate development.
With any system in a lexus that throws up a warning lights on the dash the system will not be active. For instance if you have a airbag light the airbag will not deploy due to the airbag ecu sensing a problem with the system. Now with the OEM A/S it is tied into a lot of things for the LS platform. The air suspension actually firms up during hard braking to keep the car level. The vehicle stability system is also affected. I am not sure exactly what lights pop up on the dash but whatever lights pop up that system will be disable. All of this information I got from a 20 year master lexus tech, ASE advanced level specialist. Now if you put resistor and things of that nature to trick the computer into thinking the air system is still connect then you wouldn't have a problem. I personally haven't sat down and try to figure it out yet, but when my factory air suspension gives out i will definitely look into figuring out a way to use after market suspension. At 1100 a shock it is pretty pricey. On an LS430 UL it was getting 3 year life span on the air suspension. I got a set of 4 changed out luckily it was under warranty.

It seems like most of the air suspension issues occur in the 07,08,09. I've been searching and have not found a thread with suspension issues on the 2010.

Are the air suspensions on the 2010's more refined or is it just that its too early for issues to occur?

I had a slight issue with my 2010. It was slightly out of spec when I got it last November. It was CPO and Lexus took care of it. The drivers side was higher than the other side. Nothing major.

I see that more than a handful of members swapped out their OEM air and are now on aftermarket air. I recently purchased an 07L and looking to swap the OEM air for an aftermarket kit. My last car was a Magnum on UAS air, and the factory air on this car is a little to "floaty" for me. The data system is out of the question.

So I was wondering if any member here on aftermarket air, found out a way to disable the lights from removing their OEM unit? One member said someone out there has found a way. I've tried searching, but haven't found an answer.

It has been done but no one has really shared the information.
My lights are still on, but I'm used to them now. Doesn't really bother me - although it'd be nice to get it off if someone did share the info.

I'm curious to those that replaced oem air struts with coilovers or aftermarket air, what else did you remove outside of the oem struts? I just installed bc racing coils on my brothers 460l and expected a Christmas tree only to find no lights on. Only thing I removed was the oem air struts and put the bc's in.
