Thats how the techs do it..turn wheel for more room, get front end up, Jackstand, get into fender liner and swap bulbs. You may not have to raise car but I'm sure it is ton easier especially for those with access to a lift

Here is my LS with 5000k

I have a 2008 LS460 and the passenger side headlight works sometimes and not others. I was going to replace it but I thought I would ask if there is a known short on that headlamp? Because before it goes out it starts blinking. Once Out I can get it back on sometimes by turning the light switch from auto to off and then on.

$400..GTFOH...that would cover a trip to Costco for the dealership to restock the snacks and drinks in the waiting area for a month lol...sad how they have the nerve to blatantly take advantage of folks. Same oem PAIR of bulbs on eBay is $60..ridiculous

I just did mine, it was easy but it just takes some time. I removed the wheels to have more space to work. Then, I removed the Phillips screws located at the front part of the liner, and removed some pin clips as well. I also removed the liner trim around the wheel well, also held by smaller Phillips screws. Then, you have to remove the Phillips screws underneath the car, in front of the wheel well. You will be able to then pull the liner back and have access to the HID bulb. The bulb is behind a twist-out cap, and it's held by two metal clips that are very easy to unlatch. Before you unlatch these, you need to disconnect the socket, another very easy twist and pull. I recommend using a flashlight to see in there. Take your time. I didn't use latex gloves because I was very careful to not touch the bulbs. Make sure the little white pipe-looking thing on the HID bulb itself is at the bottom when you install. Notice how the original one is also down. Finally, after the bulb is installed, clips are back on, socket is back on and twist-in cap in back on, to put the liner back in place took me a little bit of time, but I'd say don't re-install any screws until the liner is completely in place and aligned correctly.

Thanks! I drove the car at night and I think I'll have to go through this again, with a 5000K pair. This time will be Phillips made in Germany. I'm not happy with the Garax 6000K - it loses too much light output.

BTW, do you know how to access the low beam adjustment screw on the driver's side? I know where it is, there is just no way to get to it...
