Compared to the S550, 750li, XJ, Equus, and the A8 our stock system sucks and our ML 19 speaker is a little overrated especially when compared to Audi A8 stock Bose system and not to mention they upgrade Bang & Olsen system. Hands down the A8 has the best sound system. I also think Lexus should have ML system standard if you have nav. It's hard to find the ML system in any of they other models. The stock system sounds like something that belongs in a subaru.

 

i'm all for buying a car with the basic audio package, then building out a nice aftermarket system.

for a couple grand, you can build a nice system that will smoke the ML system or most any factory audio system.

 

I haven't tried the Audi's audio system, but think about how old both technologies are. The LS460' ML is quite old compared to the Audi's.

Wait until the new LS comes out.

 

I'm wasn't talking about the new A8, I was talking from 07 -11 the the 13 will have to be compared to the all new LS

 

The problem with the A8 audio system is you have to take the rest of the car with it.

However, I must say as good as the ML system sounds, it is by far the least reliable system I have ever seen.

 

i own both cars (2007 A8 SWB and a 2008 LS600hL) and the bose in the A8 pales in comparison to the levinson in the lexus. i thought your OP was talking about the D4 chassis A8

 

the audi bang system is a spendy option.
